Impressive implementation for Googles latest campaign for their Chrome browser. Yes I use it as my primary browser. And no not because of this fantastic implementation of interactive video.
I performed dismally but have a visit and see for yourself:

Nissan Commercial of an RC car using RC cameras.

Film quality is superb, production is great. In addition to using cranes and camera dollies, they mixed in a few Canon 5D Mark II DSLRs mounted on separate RC cars and a helicam. I swear!
Here is the TV commercial produced by TWBA-Toronto:

Custom Creations – Vynil toys.

I have been a massive fan of Kidrobot for aaages and the recent proliferation of custom vynils is just awesome. These few that caught my attention on Kidrobot’s community portal have just captured my imagination!
Markie Darkie has done an awesome job with these:

The Dusk Tiger: Gibsons Robotic Guitar
Dec 23rd
Not entirely my cup of tea as I still hold value in the old honed skills that make playing an instrument enjoyable. Grabbing a machine head during a gig to tune up on stage looks like history with this puppy but hats off to Gibson for putting their R&D foot forward to release a robotic Guitar. The demonstration in this vid speaks for itself. Open tuning selection and to just watch the machine heads move on their own is just plain freaky!
Without any more gas bagging from me, may I introduce the Dusk Tiger.
Though it may look like something Ron Burgundy would own, Gibsons third-generation robotic guitar packs many customizable features. At $4,128, its a pricey novelty, but a powerful one.

Building Faster Websites with CSS Sprites.

Great tutorial by Tutorial 9 on using sprites in CSS. Very useful, in small doses.

Using CSS sprites allows you to greatly increase your websites speed by using single image files that contain multiple graphics. In other words, when you have many images to be used, instead of having them as different individual files, we combine them into one. Therefore, the client computer only downloads one image for all the different graphics to be displayed.
Googles new interface – Try it for yourself.
Dec 2nd

Confirmed. The rumors about Google’s redesign are true, and you can try it for yourself with a very simple method.
1. Go to Google.com. Not .com.au
2. Once the page loads, delete everything from the address bar and enter this code:
javascript:void(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=20b6e4c2f44943bb:U=4bf292d46faad806:TM=1249677602:LM=1257919388:S=odm0Ys-53ZueXfZG;path=/; domain=.google.com”);
Just remember there should be no http://google.comblahblahblah?=blahblah Just paste in the above code.
3. Hit enter.
4. Reload the Google.com page and you will have access to the new user interface.
